HOW DOES IT WORK?
Advanced Hypnosis
Most of us have heard of hypnosis and many of us know someone who has been under hypnosis as a treatment for something.
The truth is that all of us have been in a hypnosic state, often on a daily basis. Hypnosis is a deep sense of relaxation, that wonderful feeling right before we go to sleep. Have you ever wondered why you have such wonderful ideas right before you fall asleep at night?
The trick is to keep clients at the point of deep full body and mind relaxation without them going to sleep. This point allows a hypnotherapist to talk directly to the subconscious part of the mind. The subconscious mind is where our habits are stored, so by talking directly to this part of your mind, we can change habits into a more positive form. This is where NLP comes in.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the study of language as it relates to the mind. Negative self-talk encourages you to take on the negative influences around you, while positive thinking can lift you up and drive you to succeed.
NLP is a whole new way of thinking for many people. It’s all about taking responsibility for your actions and emotions and realising that we are in total control of our mindset and how we act on a daily basis. You are in control of your thoughts, your choices and your actions so why not choose to make them positive.
Everyone wants to be happy, right? But how many of us think, I will be happy when …., I will be happy if …. The trick is to BE happy and be grateful for what you have. You can still have goals and plans, in fact goals and plans are very important. How can you achieve your goals if you don’t know what your goals look like? Goals are of little use without planning a pathway of how you will get there. How will you know if you’re on the right track to achieving your goals?
Example 1: You can think: You only have $50.00 on you and your next pay day is still 3 days away. Or you can think: You have $50.00 left and there is only 3 days until your next pay day. Be grateful that you have money left and pay day is a few days away.
Example 2: You can think: You’re kids are driving you crazy with all their running around the house. Or you can think: You are lucky to have healthy and active children. This one I am especially thankful for every day since my first son was very sick and was stillborn at 28 weeks into our first pregnancy. I am very lucky to have a second little boy who is super active and generally a healthy and happy little guy.
I am very lucky to have a child who is healthy enough to make me crazy at times. When you’ve had ‘complete silence’ you realise it is not something that you want from your kids.
Once you learn to think in more positive ways, life just gets better and better. This is why motivational quotes are so uplifting, they embrace positivity!
One of my favorites is: “Don’t let other people’s opinions become your reality!” Just because other people don’t agree with your decisions in life doesn’t mean that this needs to affect your decisions. Everyone has their own journey to lead and have jumped their own hurdles in life.
You also need to take responsibility for your actions. You are in control of how you make people feel and your actions towards them.
Having said that, you must also realise that nobody else is responsible for your happiness; that starts and ends with YOU!
Your life is yours, live it how YOU CHOOSE!!
My training
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner training conducted with Quantum Change Seminars in Melbourne with home study completed afterwards to obtain the Certification, completed in April 2011.
- Quit Cigarettes in 60 Minutes Certification Training was completed with several industry experts who combined their fields of expertise to bring this Program together. Including: George Faddoul, Nick LeForce and Dr Jamie Fettig through Quantum Change Seminars in July of 2011. For more information see (http://www.qcseminars.com/the-team)
Once I had completed the above training, I registered the business name, Quit Cigarettes in 60 Minutes, East Gippsland, and organised the background parts of the business. But in August of 2011, we found out that my unborn child, Charlie Eric, was extremely sick. He was born sleeping on the 20th October 2011 in the third trimester of our first pregnancy.
After this point, I kept in contact with Roberta and George Faddoul (Quantum Change Seminars) and did my own training using the manuals obtained at the formal training. George and Roberta were very supportive. I know that if I have any questions, issues or need advice, the Quantum Change Seminars team are very helpful.
While not a franchise, Quantum Change Seminars do all the training and give all of the material to launch a Quit Cigarettes in 60 Minutes Business. While I don’t need to ask for permission to run advertising, print brochures and there is no compulsory reporting back to them, they are available to support Quit Specialists, such as myself, and to give advice and answer questions. So while I am running the business on my own, I know that I’m not entirely on my own in the business.
In June 2014, I commenced training in Small Business Management for Women in Business through the Small Business Mentoring Service, supported by East Gippsland Shire with scholarships for 12 local women. This was successfully completed in November of 2014, I gained a huge amount from this course and from the mentoring sessions through Small Business Mentoring Services with Bruce Hall; literally life changing! For more information, see (https://www.sbms.org.au/)
I attended a conference with Marketing Training for the Quit Cigarettes in 60 Minutes program in July 2014 with other graduates and successful Quit Cigarettes Specialists. The networking opportunity and motivational speakers as well as my training in Small Business Management gave me the courage to get the business up and going as I intended to do in 2011.
In August of 2014, I officially launched the Quit Cigarettes in 60 Minutes, East Gippsland business and started seeing clients and I’ve been helping people Quit Cigarettes ever since.
This is hypnosis? How long are the sessions? What is the cost per session? Where are you located?
Thank you

Hi 🙂 I’m wondering if this program works for other addictions?
Hi Bridget, I specialise in helping people to quit smoking cigarettes and have not completed the necessary training for other addictions. Within the East Gippsland area, I can recommend Christine Taplin as she has training in counselling and hypnosis for alcohol and drug addictions, and Katie Alexander if you’re referring to food addictions. Both of these ladies are just as passionate about helping people as I am.
Thank you for your interest in my business. If you have any other enquiries, feel free to message me privately on enquiries@quitin60eastgippsland.com.au or give me a call on 1300 730 516.
Kindest regards,
